About Us

Hi! I'm Rachael and I am the face behind Koalaty Kakes.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia I moved to Silicon Valley with my partner so he could explore the world of technology. Little did I know that would lead me to finding my passion and actually turning it into my full time job!

How did I get started you ask?

I had made a few cakes for friends in the past but that all changed when a close friend said "can you make a baby shower cake and I'll pay you?" (Pay me? I can get paid for this?) to which I said "YES! Of course" and proceeded to undercharge her so much that I didn't even cover costs! Business never was my strong suit.

Since then, I have worked hard and Koalaty Kakes has grown into more than I could have imagined! Now it's a trusted brand known for using top quality ingredients and producing everything from large scale tiered buttercream cakes to dessert tables filled with sweet treats.

I am honoured my clients put their trust into Koalaty Kakes for some of the biggest and most important events in their lives.

I will continue to learn more, raise the bar and better this business every way I can for an easy and stress free experience.
